Tangled Roots is a 6-week educational enrichment program that meets in the spring and fall on Wednesdays for seasonal nature lessons, exploration activities, lakeside hikes, and nature play.
Led by the passionate and knowledgeable Tara Castiaux, this program provides a unique blend of weekly lessons and hands-on exploration activities, including curriculum designed to educate young students on eco-conscious living. We cover topics like gardening, animal care, and wilderness skills.
Our meeting spot is at Wonder Lake, private property located in Wright City, MO. Enjoy a beautiful commute to the outskirts of Saint Charles County. Our setting offers a serene rural vibe, perfect for immersing ourselves in nature and learning from the land.
Classes at Tangled Roots begin at 10am with no official stop time. Kids are welcome to bring a lunch and hang out all afternoon, enjoying the beauty of our surroundings and the camaraderie of their fellow learners. Our goal is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where everyone can thrive, both personally and communally.
Whether you’re a seasoned homesteader or just starting to explore the world of nature-based learning, Tangled Roots welcomes you to join us as we cultivate a deep appreciation for sustainable living practices and a strong connection to the land.
