Homeschool Diploma Generator

Fill in the graduate, your home school name, and the date. Print it on heavy paper and it is done — no account, nothing uploaded.

Use the same name that appears on the transcript and any notice of intent you filed.

Set your printer to landscape and turn on background graphics so the border prints.

A diploma is ceremonial. Colleges and employers ask for the transcript — Homeschool Fox builds one from the courses you already logged.

Is a homeschool diploma legitimate?

Yes. In every state, a parent operating a legal home school may award a diploma, and it is the recognized credential for that student. There is no state-issued homeschool diploma in most states, and no accrediting body is required to make a parent-issued one valid.

What trips families up is that a diploma is rarely the document anyone actually asks to see. Colleges want a transcript. Employers want the diploma or a transcript. The military is the notable exception — it has its own tiering rules and asks specific questions about how the student was educated.

Who signs a homeschool diploma?

The parent or parents acting as administrators of the home school. If you are enrolled with an umbrella school, accountability association, or a cover school, they usually issue the diploma instead — check before you print, because two competing diplomas is a conversation you do not want to have at an admissions office.

What should the home school name be?

Whatever you have used consistently. If you filed a notice of intent or an affidavit under a school name, use that one. If you have never named it, "The Reyes Family Academy" or similar is fine — what matters is that the diploma, the transcript, and any filings all say the same thing.

When can a homeschooler graduate?

When they have completed the work you set for graduation. Most homeschool graduates finish with 22 to 28 credits. A few states set an age at which compulsory attendance ends, which is a floor for withdrawing, not a graduation requirement. The credit calculator is the honest way to check whether the hours behind those credits hold up.

Should I buy a diploma from a service instead?

You can, and some families like the heavier stock and the seal. Nothing about a purchased diploma makes it more valid than this one — it is the same parent signature either way. Print this on 65 lb or heavier cardstock and it will look the part.
