Compass Classroom — Compass Classroom

About

What it is

Compass Classroom is a streaming video curriculum offering classical Christian education primarily for middle and high school students (grades 5-12, strongest at 7-12). Master teachers deliver engaging, gospel-centered video lessons with humor, storytelling, and interactive presentation.

Visual Latin is the flagship program and is widely considered the best homeschool Latin curriculum available. Beyond Latin, the platform offers courses in American history, Antiquity, Christendom, Modern history, writing (WordSmith Craftsman), literature, biology, general science, economics, grammar, worldview, and philosophy.

The streaming membership model provides access to all 40+ courses. Individual/Bronze membership costs $49/month or $490/year (one student account). Family/Silver membership runs $89/month or $890/year (up to 4 student accounts with individual progress tracking). All memberships include PDF course books, audio stories, and community forum access.

Compass Classroom videos are not dry lectures — the teachers use humor and storytelling to make classical education accessible and enjoyable. Students with dyslexia or those who struggle with text-heavy curricula often do well with the video format.

The platform is explicitly Christian with a Reformed Protestant perspective. Science is taught from a Christian worldview. The curriculum is not a complete all-subjects program — families typically supplement with a dedicated math curriculum.

Compass Classroom offers one of the best affiliate programs in the homeschool space: 20% commission on physical products and 40% on digital subscriptions, with a 30-day cookie and $25 minimum payout. Financial aid is available for families who need it.
