About
What it is
My Father's World (MFW) is a Christian homeschool curriculum that weaves together Charlotte Mason methods, classical education principles, and unit study organization into a cohesive program. Founded by David and Marie Hazell, MFW covers PreK through 12th grade with a distinctive missions-focused worldview that teaches children about cultures and faith communities around the world.
The program is designed for multi-age family learning. History, science, Bible, and art are taught together with all children participating, while math and language arts are handled at individual grade levels. This family-style approach is especially efficient for families with two or more children spaced two to four years apart — everyone studies the same time period and theme, reducing the total number of preparations the parent manages.
Daily lesson plans are thorough and structured. The Teacher Manual tells parents exactly what to do each day, balancing read-alouds, hands-on activities, discussion, and independent work. The combination of structure and variety keeps days from feeling monotonous.
Pricing ranges from $310 for the Kindergarten Essentials package to $705 for 12th grade. Math and language arts are sold separately and add to the annual cost. Coaching packages ($1,207-$1,547) bundle the core program with parent support and training. MFW periodically runs promotional discounts.
The curriculum is print-only with no digital or video components, which appeals to screen-free families but limits options for families who prefer or need digital delivery. The Christian content includes a strong missions emphasis — students learn about missionaries, world religions, and global cultures from a Christian perspective. Secular families will not find this program suitable.
MFW works best for multi-child Christian families who want structured daily plans with variety and a global perspective. Single-child families lose the multi-age efficiency that is one of the program's strongest selling points.

Common questions
Frequently asked
Is My Father's World good for multiple children?
Yes — MFW is specifically designed for multi-age family learning. History, science, Bible, and art are taught together with all children, while math and language arts are handled individually. This makes it especially efficient for families with two or more children.
Does MFW include math and language arts?
Math and language arts are sold separately and are not included in the core program price. MFW recommends specific programs (like Singapore Math or Saxon) but families can choose their own.
Is MFW available digitally?
No. My Father's World is print-only with no digital or video delivery options. All materials are physical books and teacher manuals.
What makes MFW different from other Christian curricula?
MFW's distinctive feature is its missions-focused worldview — students learn about world cultures, missionaries, and global Christianity throughout every level. The blend of Charlotte Mason, classical, and unit study methods is also unique.
