Student Goals

Set and track yearly learning goals for hours, attendance, and subject requirements.

Set yearly goals for each student to track progress toward your homeschool requirements.

Setting Up Goals

  1. Go to Students
  2. Select a student
  3. Click Edit Goals or find the goals section
  4. Enter your targets

Types of Goals

Total Hours

The total number of learning hours for the school year.

Common targets:
- 900-1000 hours - Typical full year
- 720 hours - Minimum in some states

Core Hours

Hours spent on core subjects (Math, Language Arts, Science, Social Studies).

Many states require a certain percentage of hours in core subjects.

Attendance Days

Number of days with logged learning activity.

Common requirements:
- 180 days - Traditional school year
- 170-175 days - Some state minimums

Tracking Progress

Your dashboard shows:
- Progress rings for each goal
- Percentage complete
- Hours/days remaining

Adjusting Goals

Goals can be adjusted anytime:
1. Go to Students → [Student Name]
2. Edit the goal values
3. Save changes

Progress recalculates automatically.

Multiple School Years

Each school year has its own set of goals. When a new school year starts, you'll set fresh goals while preserving previous year's data.
