Referral Program

Earn real cash by sharing Homeschool Fox with other homeschool families. Every time a friend you refer becomes a paid subscriber, you get paid.

How It Works

1. Share your link — Find your personal invite link in Settings > Referrals. It looks like homeschoolfox.com/invite/yourname.
2. Friends sign up — When someone visits your link and creates an account, they're tracked as your referral.
3. They subscribe — Once your friend converts from their free trial to a paid plan, the reward goes into a 30-day pending state.
4. Reward locks in — 30 days after their first payment, if they're still subscribed, the cash is yours. We'll show you the exact lock-in date in your dashboard.
5. Get paid — Request a payout via PayPal anytime your balance hits $25.

What You Earn

A flat, one-time reward per confirmed referral — no tiers, no caps:

Yearly-plan referrals pay more because those subscribers save two months of cost and stick around longer — encourage friends to go yearly when you can.

Example: Refer 12 friends where half go yearly and half go monthly → $8 × 6 + $24 × 6 = $192 total.

Requesting a Payout

• Minimum balance: $25
• Go to Settings > Referrals and click Request Payout
• Enter your PayPal email address
• Payouts are processed manually within a few business days

Tracking Your Referrals

In Settings > Referrals you can see:

• Your personal invite link with a copy button
• Your earnings balance
• A list of all your referrals and their status (signed up, subscribed, reward earned)

Tax Information

If your referral earnings reach $600 or more in a calendar year, we're required by the IRS to issue a 1099-NEC. We'll email you when you're approaching this threshold so you can get a W-9 form on file. Payouts above $600 are held until the W-9 is received.

FAQ

When do I get credited?
30 days after your friend's first paid invoice. The waiting period ensures they stuck with the plan past the refund window — once it clears, the cash is yours.

What if my friend cancels?
If your friend cancels (or gets refunded) before the 30-day window is up, the reward doesn't lock in and we'll send you a quick email letting you know. After the window clears, the reward is yours to keep no matter what happens with their account.

Can I refer myself?
No — self-referrals are blocked.

Is there a limit to how many people I can refer?
No limit. Refer as many friends as you'd like.
