Referral Program

Earn recurring commission by sharing Homeschool Fox with other homeschool families. Every time a friend you refer becomes a paid subscriber, you get a percentage of every payment they make for the first 12 months.

How It Works

1. Share your link — Find your personal invite link in Settings > Referrals. It looks like homeschoolfox.com/invite/yourname.
2. Friends sign up — When someone visits your link and creates an account within 60 days, they're tracked as your referral.
3. They subscribe — Once your friend converts from their free trial to a paid plan, their first commission starts a 30-day pending hold.
4. Commissions lock in per payment — 30 days after each invoice clears, the commission is yours. We'll show you upcoming lock-in dates in your dashboard.
5. Earn for 12 months — Every renewal payment inside the 12-month window earns you another commission.
6. Get paid — Request a payout via PayPal anytime your balance hits $25.

What You Earn

Approved partners earn 30% recurring commission on every paid subscription they refer, for the first 12 months of the subscriber's lifetime. This applies to both monthly ($12/mo) and annual ($99/yr) plans, including renewals that fall inside the 12-month window. Attribution is tracked via a 60-day cookie. Payouts are sent monthly via PayPal once your balance reaches $25.

Example: Refer 10 friends, evenly split. Five yearly subscribers → $29.70 × 5 = $148.50. Five monthly subscribers who stay 12 months → $43.20 × 5 = $216. Total: $364.50.

Requesting a Payout

• Minimum balance: $25
• Go to Settings > Referrals and click Request Payout
• Enter your PayPal email address
• Payouts are processed monthly via PayPal

Tracking Your Referrals

In Settings > Referrals you can see:

• Your personal invite link with a copy button
• Your available balance and pending commissions
• A list of all your referrals and their status (signed up, active, window closed)

Tax Information

If your referral earnings reach $600 or more in a calendar year, we're required by the IRS to issue a 1099-NEC. We'll email you when you're approaching this threshold so you can get a W-9 form on file. Payouts above $600 are held until the W-9 is received.

FAQ

When does each commission lock in?
30 days after the invoice clears. The hold lets us reverse a commission if the payment is refunded or the subscription ends inside that window. After 30 days the commission is yours to keep.

What if my friend cancels?
If a friend cancels (or gets refunded) before a commission's 30-day hold is up, that commission doesn't lock in and we'll send you a quick email letting you know. Commissions already locked in stay yours.

Does the 12-month window restart on renewal?
No. The window starts on your friend's first paid invoice and runs continuously for 12 months. Payments inside the window earn commission; payments after it don't.

Can I refer myself?
No — self-referrals are blocked.

Is there a limit to how many people I can refer?
No limit. Refer as many friends as you'd like.
