School Year Settings

Set up your school year to match your homeschool schedule.

Setting Your School Year Start

1. Go to Settings
2. Find School Year Starts
3. Select the month and day your school year begins (for example, August 15)
4. Save changes

Common start dates:
- August/September - Traditional school year
- January - Calendar year tracking
- July - Year-round homeschooling

Your school year runs for twelve months from that date, so an August 15 start means the year ends the following August 14.

How School Year Affects Tracking

Your school year start date determines:
- When yearly goals reset
- How progress is calculated
- Report date ranges

Transitioning to a New School Year

When your school year ends:
1. New student goals are created automatically
2. Previous year's data is preserved
3. Progress tracking starts fresh

You can view previous years' data anytime in Reports.
