Plan View

Plan your week on a board — drag activities between days, park ideas in an Unscheduled column, and shuffle plans across weeks.

Last updated June 7, 2026

The Plan view is a board for thinking about your week ahead. Where the Calendar view shows activities on a time grid, the Plan view lays them out as cards in columns you can shuffle around — handy for sketching out a week before you commit to exact times.

Opening the Plan view

From the Activities page, use the view switcher in the top-right and choose Plan. You'll see one column for each day of the current week, plus an Unscheduled column pinned on the left.

The columns

Day columns

Each day of the week gets a column. Activities scheduled for that day appear as cards, color-coded by subject. An overnight activity that crosses midnight shows on both days — the start day as a full card and the next day as a muted "continues" chip.

The Unscheduled column

The Unscheduled column holds draft activities that don't have a date yet. It's your backlog: jot down ideas — a field trip, a science unit, a co-op day — without deciding when they'll happen. Use the + Add button at the bottom of any day column to create an activity already pinned to that day.

Moving activities around

There are two ways to reschedule a card:

Drag and drop

Pick up a card and drop it on another day. On a phone, press and hold a card for a moment to lift it, then drag — a quick swipe just scrolls the board. Drop a card on the Unscheduled column to clear its date and send it back to the backlog. When you drag a draft out of Unscheduled onto a day, it's scheduled (and published, if it has everything it needs).

The "Move to…" menu

Every card has a button. Tap it for a menu where you can view or edit the activity, or move it to any day, to Unscheduled, or to the previous / next week (same day) — the reliable option on touch screens.

Moving across weeks

Use the ‹ Previous week and Next week › rails on the far edges of the board: drop a card on a rail to send it to the same weekday a week earlier or later. You can also jump the whole board between weeks with the arrows in the header, or hit Today to come back.

Tips

  • Use Unscheduled as a planning inbox, then drag ideas onto days as the week takes shape.
  • Drag a card to a quieter day to balance your week across subjects.
  • Switch to the Calendar view when you're ready to pin down exact times.
